Previous Tours

2006, Le Havre to Barcelona;

Le Pont de Normandie at Le Havre.

An excellent free-camping spot, apart from the toads mating call at 2 in the morning!!

A faint outline on the horizon of the 'hills' between France & Spain.

The Highest pass on my plotted route.

Busy Barcelona port, waiting for the Ferry to Majorca where my best mate lives.

2007, Milton Keynes to Barcelona;

This 60 or 70 speed limit really is confusing!!

Yppeeeeeeee!!!!

This Gite came with a bird for the night!!

I could live in the Pyrenees, certainly the BEST section of the tour.

This shot was a bit of a fluke (for me atleast!), Just taking a photo of the view but the slight
hairpin bend on the road, along with the warning pole in the middle made quite a good shot.

The longest day I've had in the saddle, after 146 miles
I meet my twin sister Claire, & her family in Barcelona.

My sister Claire, Glenn and boys Joe & Sam.

The Official Start point, Adams Street (by Lake Michigan).

Could prove handy if I loose my maps....

The first of many nostalgic town bilboards to come.

& another.

I just loved the name of this place; 'FunksGrove'. Famous for it's Maple Sirup (spelt correctly!!).

A lot less bover than a hover, & the truck was half price.

The worlds largest rocking chair.

Into Kansas, all 13.8 miles of ol' 66.

Starting early to avoid the heat.

The Americans wonder why tourist's take pictures of their trucks...cos
there so bloody big!!..& this was the same colour as my bike, Tango Orange.

The sign did say 'Pavement ends', & sure enough.

From a mileage point of view it's all down hill from here,
but the climbs are yet to come.

The Long, hot, twisting ribbon of New Mexic interstate.

The Scenary between Santa Fe & Albuquerque (NM).

As a desert virgin, it was quite daunting to cycle into.

Santa Monica pier - happy, sad, mixed emotions. The End.
